Giving Back to our Community

Community can be defined as a fellowship of people that share common attitudes, interests, and goals. While C6 provides access to essential medical and daily necessities across Canada, we recognize and give back to those supporting our communities throughout these trying times.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has created tension, stress, and feelings of uncertainty within our communities, it has also increased awareness of abuse and violence towards women. Business closures, stay-at-home orders, and social gathering restrictions have all contributed towards a rise in abuse, harassment, and domestic violence at home. Homes and environments once thought safe are now dangerous.

There is hope.

We recognize the efforts made by Gillian’s Place (St. Catharines, Ontario) in their commitment to break the cycle of abuse and violence towards women. Gillian’s Place provides women and their children with safety, shelter, and support programs & services they require. These services include safety planning, legal support, transitional support, and even emergency transportation. All women deserve to live in a safe, just, and secure environment.

With our donation of masks and sanitization supplies, it is our goal to equip Gillian’s Place with the supplies necessary to continue to ensure the safe inhabitancy of their clients throughout the pandemic.
